Qualifications

• Must be available for call on weekdays and weekends in rotation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass.
• Provide ventricular assist support and intra-aortic balloon pump support.
• Perform ECMO as needed.
• Operate auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis.
• Operate various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems.
• Be prepared for emergency team assignments and stay on-site as required.

Description:This role involves conducting adult cardiopulmonary bypass.The perfusionist provides ventricular assist support and intra-aortic balloon pump support.Responsibilities also include conducting extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).You will perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis.Operating various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems is also required.The unit may require assignment to an emergency team, where you would stay at the facility until after an event passes.Specific details regarding pay for emergency events will be communicated as they arise.This role requires availability for call on weekdays and weekends in rotation.References from two managers or supervisors will be required for clearance prior to starting the contract.Please ensure compliance with the licensing process, which may take two to four months.
