Houston Career Institute seeks substitute instructors to deliver courses aligned with defined competencies. You will inform students of requirements, guide their academic progress, and provide tutoring and referrals as needed.

The instructor assists students in meeting their academic and career goals by providing an engaging teaching and learning environment utilizing sound pedagogical teaching strategies based on approved syllabi. The instructor provides appropriate and effective instruction, stays current in the scholarship and practice of their discipline and teaching methodology, supports academic quality standards. The instructor is responsible for helping to create and maintain a student-centered learning environment based on a culture of student learning assessment at the course, program, and institutional level.
