Description:The ER Technician position is for night shifts.Patient visits per day range from 90 to 130.A minimum of 1 year of experience is required in a related setting.Weekend shifts are required up to every other weekend.Certifications in BLS and EMT/EMT-B are mandatory.Preferred certifications include PALS and ACLS.This role does not require on-call hours.The technician may float to other units as needed.Block scheduling is not accommodated.Candidates living outside a 100-mile radius are not considered.Pending licenses are accepted.Restrictions on time off ideally limit requests to no more than 5 days.The client may cancel shifts up to 3 times without penalty.Candidates must have experience in acute care, urgent care, trauma, and teaching settings.Sought-after experience includes urgent care, trauma level 1, trauma level 2, and children's hospitals.Required skills include taking vital signs, performing 12-lead EKGs, using AED/Defibrillator, splinting, wound care, and crutch training.Candidates should have completed a high school education or GED, with an associate's or vocational degree preferred.Certification in Basic Life Support must be completed within 30 days.Candidates should be equipped to handle a variety of patient diagnoses, including general ER cases and mental health concerns.The ER is open 24 hours a day to assist with medical emergencies.Common conditions treated include chest pain, major head injuries, trauma, seizures, and respiratory issues.Experience with medical terminology is preferred.Candidates must be prepared for compliance with state requirements and background checks.Each travel candidate can only apply for one position at a time.References from a supervisor are required upon submission.
