Princeton House Behavioral Health is hiring for a Per Diem Allied Clinical Therapist to join our team.

Ideal candidate must have a Masters degree in Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, or Social Work. Princeton House Behavioral Health offers a full range of inpatient treatment services for adults struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse problems, or both.

Summary:
  • The Allied Clinical Therapist will originate, plan, and administer high-quality Allied Clinical Therapy to individuals and groups. This includes group counseling, creative arts therapy, psycho-educational, and therapeutic activities.
  • The therapist will assess patient functioning levels and needs and participate as a member of the treatment team to create and maintain a therapeutic milieu.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides Allied Clinical Therapy based on physician’s referral, interpreting recommendations, interviewing, observing patients, assessing their functioning and treatment needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing them.
  • Documents patient assessments, participation, and progress in the hospital records.
  • Develops and presents treatment plans at patient care meetings.
  • Provides scheduled weekend and evening programs.
  • Maintains departmental records and supplies.
  • Performs professional functions under supervision.
  • Facilitates psychoeducational groups and develops new techniques and programs.
  • Collaborates with clinicians to meet patient goals.
  • Requisitions supplies, maintains equipment and area.
  • Participates in compliance, committees, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supports department goals and collaborates to enhance patient care and service.
Credentials:
  • C-ATR, C-CBMT, C-CTRS, or C-DMT required.
  • Additional certifications depending on therapy specialization, e.g., MT-BC, CTRS, ATR-Provisional, R-DMT, RDT, licensure, or registration as specified.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Master of Arts or Science degree required in relevant field.
  • Relevant clinical internship experience preferred.
