The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a sales business leader who designs a customer experience tailored to each account and Healthcare Provider (HCP). Acting as the primary Point of Contact (PoC), the TAS engages with clients to identify priorities and address needs by problem-solving and leveraging Novartis resources to improve patient outcomes. The role requires expertise in clinical selling, account management, access navigation, and omni-channel engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop strategic territory plans to enhance product demand by addressing the needs of key partners and patients.
  2. Encourage clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and involve the account team to overcome barriers.
  3. Use market insights and industry trends to manage business opportunities and challenges effectively.
  4. Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and ensure customer needs are met.
  5. Analyze market data to understand the local landscape and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
  6. Utilize omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement through various platforms.
  7. Collaborate with regional colleagues and home-office teams to meet customer needs and support access.
  8. Provide access support and work with Patient Specialty Services to address customer requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles within the last 5 years.
  • Strong collaboration skills and proficiency in clinical product communication, with a track record of high performance.
  • Analytical skills to prioritize and use data effectively, with a focus on ethical leadership and compliance.
  • Reside within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; ability to travel 60-80% with a valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, product launches, and market access strategies.

Leveling Guidelines: Positions will be filled based on experience, ranging from Territory Account Specialist to Executive Territory Account Specialist.

Driving is an essential function of this role: A valid driver’s license is required. Reasonable accommodations are available for medical restrictions.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy: While vaccination is not currently required, adherence to customer credentialing guidelines may necessitate vaccination or accommodations.

Compensation: Salary ranges vary by level, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive health and retirement plans. Final pay depends on experience, location, and other factors.

Training: The role includes initial training, which must be completed successfully.
