This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in Harrisburg, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, and the surrounding areas. Novartis cannot offer relocation support for this role; please only apply if this location is accessible for you.

The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a sales leader who designs a customized customer experience tailored to each account and Healthcare Provider (HCP). Acting as the primary Point of Contact (PoC), the TAS engages clients to identify mutual priorities, address needs, and leverage Novartis resources to improve patient outcomes. The role requires expertise in clinical selling, account management, access navigation, problem-solving, team collaboration, and omni-channel engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify mutual priorities and develop strategic territory business plans to enhance product demand, addressing key partners' and patients' needs.
  • Encourage clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and involve the account team to resolve barriers.
  • Utilize market insights, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to resolve complex customer issues and collaborate across departments.
  • Analyze market data to understand local business landscape and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
  • Use omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement through various channels, including virtual interactions.
  • Work with regional colleagues and home-office teams to meet customer needs and support access.
  • Provide access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) to address customer requirements efficiently.
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in specialty pharma, biotech, or similar sales roles within the last 5 years.
  • Strong collaboration skills, clinical product knowledge, high performance track record, and experience selling to large accounts.
  • Proactive with analytical skills to prioritize and solve problems ethically, promoting compliance.
  • Reside within the territory or within 50 miles, with ability to travel 60-80%, driving or flying as needed. Valid driver’s license required.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, market access, reimbursement, or medical calling on HCPs.
Leveling Guidelines:
  • Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years’ experience.
  • Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years’ experience.
  • Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years’ experience.
