The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a sales leader who designs a customer experience tailored to each account and Healthcare Provider (HCP). Acting as the primary Point of Contact, the TAS engages with clients to identify priorities and address needs by problem-solving and leveraging Novartis resources to improve patient outcomes. The TAS possesses expertise in clinical selling, account management, access navigation, and omni-channel engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic territory business plans to enhance product demand by addressing the needs of key partners and patients.
  • Encourage clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and collaborate with the account team to overcome barriers.
  • Use market insights, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to resolve complex customer issues and ensure all needs are met.
  • Analyze market data to understand local business landscape and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
  • Utilize omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement through various channels.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues and home-office teams to meet customer needs and support access.
  • Provide access support and work with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) to address customer requirements.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles in the last 5 years.
  • Strong collaboration skills, effective communication of clinical details, and a proven high performance record.
  • Proactive with analytical skills to use data for problem-solving and customer satisfaction, maintaining ethical standards and compliance.
  • Reside within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border. Ability to travel 60-80% within the territory, driving or flying, with a valid driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, account strategies, and product launches.
  • Knowledge of patient services, market access, reimbursement, and medical calling on HCPs for sophisticated products.
Leveling Guidelines
  • Position level depends on experience: Territory, Senior, or Executive.
Driving

Driving is an essential function; a valid driver’s license is required. Reasonable accommodations are available for medical restrictions.
