Job summary

Scotch Institute of Ear Nose & Throat (a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of FL) is seeking a part-time Allergy Technician (Nurse or Medical Assistant) for our Trinity and Wesley Chapel offices. The role may become full-time for the right candidate.

You will join a busy ENT practice delivering allergy care and patient education. Responsibilities include skin testing, injections, taking histories, answering calls, and exam-room prep.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year hands-on clinical experience.
• Willing to travel between locations as needed.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Exhibit professionalism towards patients physicians and team members.
• Computer literate for EMR.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Allergy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with patients for 10-60 minutes.
• Following allergy protocols.
• Educating patients on allergy testing and treatments.
• Answering patient calls.
• Taking patient histories.
• Giving injections.
• Performing allergy skin tests.
• Obtaining authorizations.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Sterilization techniques per CDC, ENTAAF and autoclave requirements.
