Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York, NY is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse - Allergy to support our Throgg's Neck Office. The role focuses on administering allergy shots, patient education, and immunotherapy under supervision.

Qualifications

• Allergy experience required.
• Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the state.
• Pass the NCLEX-PN examination.
• Active LPN license in the state working.
• CPR and AED certifications required.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays.
• HIPAA & OSHA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance service and care.
• Provide general care and education to patients per OSHA regulations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including allergy shots, under supervision.
• Prepare supplies for allergy testing and treatments.
• Perform lung function testing (FeNO and Spirometry) with/without bronchodilators.
• Assist in patch testing interpretation and prep as directed by RN/provider.
• Maintain the immunotherapy room and ensure cleanliness.
• Administer allergy shots with provider on site.
• Record vitals and reactions to treatments accurately.
• Ensure allergy test sets and emergency kits are up to date.
