Puget Sound ENT in Seattle is expanding into integrated allergy services and seeking a Physician Assistant to help launch and grow a new allergy and immunology program. The PA will work closely with ENT physicians to build a high-impact service line, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Board certified or board eligible (PA-C).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington State.
  • Experience in allergy, immunology, ENT, or related field preferred.
  • Current NCCPA certification and CPR/BLS from AHA.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, asthma, and food allergies.
  • Perform skin prick, intradermal, patch testing, and allergen immunotherapy.
  • Educate patients on allergy management and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and ENT colleagues.
  • Assist in developing clinic workflows and protocols.
  • Follow policies outlined in Associate Handbook.

Position Summary

Puget Sound ENT is a well-established, physician-led otolaryngology practice serving the greater Seattle area. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and innovative clinical environment. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding into integrated allergy services to provide comprehensive airway care for our patients. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to help launch and grow a new allergy and immunology program within our practice. This is a unique opportunity for a PA who enjoys both clinical care and program development, working closely with ENT physicians to build a high-impact service line. Key Duties and Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Physician Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and manage patients with:
    • Allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis
    • Asthma and respiratory allergies
    • Food allergies and anaphylaxis
    • Atopic dermatitis and urticaria
  • Perform and oversee:
    • Skin prick and intradermal testing
    • Patch testing
    • Administration and monitoring of allergen immunotherapy (SCIT/SLIT)
  • Educate patients on allergy management and treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and ENT colleagues
  • Assist in developing clinic workflows and protocols
  • Must follow all policies as introduced during new associate On-Boarding, updated real-time and outlined in Associate Handbook
Education/Experience
  • Graduate of accredited Physician’s Assistant Program
  • Board certified or board eligible (PA-C)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington State
  • Prior experience in allergy, immunology, ENT, or related field preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and patient-centered approach
  • Interest in program building and practice growth
  • Current Certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current CPR and BLS from the American Heart Association
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced physical assessment and critical thinking skills required
  • Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Required: Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, Standards of Care, instrumentation, equipment, and supplies as they directly correlate to the specialty.
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Great interpersonal skills; demonstrating patience, composure and cooperation; working well with all patients, physicians and staff.
  • Advanced understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management and precautionary procedures, including the consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Using time efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and completion
  • Ability to manage multiple factors for the best result.
  • Resourcefulness in addressing first level problems and tenacity to see things through to solution
  • Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective
