The Department of Medicine and the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Albany Medical College are seeking an Internal Medicine-trained allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology and have an interest in clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activity.
The position involves the full scope of adult and pediatric allergy/immunology practice as well as providing inpatient consultation at Albany Medical Center, the major teaching hospital for northeastern New York State.
The successful candidate will participate in education of medical students, residents, and Allergy & Immunology fellows in the ambulatory, inpatient, and didactic settings. The candidate would join 2 other full time and 1 part time A/I faculty members, 2 fellows in training, and an experienced nursing team. This academic practice is a cohesive unit where empathy and mutual respect as well as excellence in patients care and teaching are highly valued. Candidates interested in research are encouraged to apply and would have the opportunity to join well-established research programs in the Division.
