Allergy Partners Wayne clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team delivering compassionate allergy and asthma care. You will greet patients, take vital signs, assist physicians, document care, and support patient education within the scope of practice.

This role supports spirometry and allergy testing, administers injections under supervision, maintains supplies, and collaborates with providers to ensure accurate records and quality patient experiences in a compliant,

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Understanding of medical record documentation standards.
• Understanding of medical coding based on the medical record notes to ensure accurate billing.
• Experience communicating and interacting with physicians.
• Analytical ability strongly preferred.
• Good communication skills and interaction with physicians.
• Neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepares patients for exam or treatment; takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physicians when requested.
• Performs spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Completes appropriate documentation in patient’s medical record to reflect services provided.
• Enters charges for services provided; facilitates prescriptions as ordered.
• Performs allergy prick testing and/or intradermal testing as ordered.
• Maintains emergency equipment and complies with policies and guidelines.
• Cross-trains on front office activities and participates in referrals and insurance authorization when needed.
