Pediatrics Northwest is seeking a Specialty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support allergy and asthma care across Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Federal Way clinics, with occasional travel to other sites as staffing requires.

The role includes allergy testing, helping with procedures, administering medications and immunotherapy, documenting results in the EMR, and educating families while maintaining patient safety on 10-hour days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient medical history and review medications, allergies, and visit purpose.
• Take vital signs including height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Conduct allergy testing (intradermal and prick testing).
• Assist Providers and RN with in-clinic procedures and challenges.
• Perform pulmonary function tests under established protocols.
• Administer medications and immunotherapy as directed.
• Document patient information and treatments accurately in the EMR.
• Monitor patients during treatments and report changes to the Provider or RN.
• Educate patients and families about asthma and allergy management.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies; ensure safety and readiness for emergencies.
