We are seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level candidate, to join our current 2 physicians in our expanding program.

The University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a third clinical allergist for this growing service that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluations for children throughout the State. The candidate will attend clinics for allergy and immunology (including primary immunodeficiency) for children. The position would also involve attending the inpatient allergy and the inpatient immunology consult services for children. Clinical research activities center around allergy and asthma. For candidates interested in research, a thriving research community exists within the department and on campus with several core facilities providing support for allergy-related clinical or basic research. Qualified candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatrics, and Board Eligible/Certified in Allergy or achieve certification in the next cycle. The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level depending on credentials.

The Department of Pediatrics, the second largest clinical department in the School of Medicine, consists of 23 pediatric sub-specialties, with over 120 faculty members. A major children's healthcare facility in the community, the region, and the State, we are actively expanding clinical, research and teaching efforts. Located on the modern and urban campus of the University of Maryland at Baltimore, the School of Medicine is one of seven professional schools. The campus is within walking distance of the Baltimore Inner Harbor, National Aquarium, Baltimore Convention Center, Hippodrome Theatre, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and Baltimore Ravens M&T Bank Stadium. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
