Job summary

Oxy seeks an experienced Allegro Developer for its IT Marketing Systems team in Houston to design, develop, and support Allegro ETRM solutions addressing trading, risk, scheduling, and accounting needs.

You will customize workflows, build interfaces, and optimize SQL Server performance while collaborating with traders, risk managers, and IT colleagues in a fast-paced energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on application development experience is required.
• Strong development skills in C# / .NET and SQL Server (T‑SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Experience working with enterprise applications and system integrations.
• Experience leveraging evolving AI tools for troubleshooting and increased deployment velocity.
• Solid problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn Allegro ETRM functionality and energy trading business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable solutions within the Allegro ETRM platform to meet evolving business requirements.
• Customize and configure Allegro workflows, reports, and integrations to support trading, risk, scheduling, and accounting processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Allegro modules in a timely and efficient manner.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between Allegro and upstream/downstream systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Participate in system upgrades, patching, and regression testing activities.
• Optimize database performance and maintain data integrity within SQL Server environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders across trading, risk, scheduling, and accounting teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Provide ongoing support for system enhancements, bug fixes, and continuous improvements.
• Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, customizations, and support activities.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Allegro Developer within our IT Marketing Systems group based in Houston, Texas.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable solutions within the Allegro ETRM platform to meet evolving business requirements

• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools
• Experience planning deployments and communicating dependencies and risks to stakeholders
