Job summary

Propio Language Services in New York is seeking onsite contract interpreters for all spoken languages to support healthcare, education and other settings. You will provide accurate consecutive interpretation and may offer remote interpretation as needed, always following client protocols and privacy requirements.

This independent contractor role emphasizes professional interpreting experience, credentials, and strict confidentiality while enabling flexible assignments across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and professional in English and all spoken languages.
• Complete interpreter proficiency evaluations where required.
• Submit an English résumé during the application process.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment rules.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and client privacy requirements.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and topic knowledge to perform assignments accurately.
