Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years' experience in hazard mitigation, recovery, emergency management response, and disaster recovery operations at local, state, or federal level.
• Bachelor's degree in emergency management or closely related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, certification and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability.
• Current Washington State driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• IS 100/200 and ICS 700/800 are required; ICS 300/400 must be completed within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review and update mitigation and recovery plans annually and bi-annually at City Light facilities.
• Coordinate with multiple divisions to create a common operating picture for response, mitigation, and recovery.
• Provide technical assistance identifying hazards at work locations and critical facilities.
• Develop and manage workshops, roundtables, and reports with budgets and schedules.
• Lead hazard mitigation and recovery planning efforts with stakeholders including local, state, and federal guidance.
