Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking an All Battery Product Manager to lead product strategy, work with suppliers, and support development from concept through lifecycle management. You will provide technical input, respond to inquiries, and ensure quality and ESG alignment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Marketing or related field and at least 5 years of product management experience. Strong communication, cross-functional teamwork, and problem-solving are essential. Travel may be required.

• Ensure compliance with environmental and legal requirements and obtain certifications.
• Support ESG initiatives and input for RFQ with product expertise.
• Maintain SAP product data, product specs, and portals with accuracy.
• Support catalog development with All Battery Marketing.

Purpose of Job:

The All Battery Product Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned All Battery product categories. They will take the lead in product strategy execution, provide technical support, and work with suppliers to develop new products to meet market needs.

Job Components:

• Execute product line strategy to support the vision and strategy of the overall All Battery product category
• Execute product development steps with suppliers, quality, purchasing, and category manager to meet the needs of new product projects
• Support the business with technical expertise
• Answer research requests (sales and store questions) in a complete and timely manner
• Coordinate with quality to approve and disqualify products from multiple sources to help eliminate supply risks and maintain quality
• Own the line review process to manage product life cycles and support category strategy
• Ensure product meets all applicable environmental and legal requirements and that required product certifications are obtained
• Support and implement Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) initiatives, as assigned
• Support All Battery RFQ with product expertise input and award recommendations
• Ensure product cross references, SAP product data, product spec sheets and product portal are maintained with accurate information
• Ensure accuracy of product information entered on new product PCN
• Supports All Battey Marketing in the development of product catalogs
• Utilize supplier relationships to understand product updates and new technologies
• Ensure products meet the requirements of our ISO 13485 Quality Management System (QMS)
• Meet with suppliers in coordination with procurement as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachleor's degree in Marketing or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management
• Effective communicator (oral and written)
• Proven track record of collaborating and working with a cross-functional team
• Strong problem solver with the ability to think outside the box
• Able to work independently with proper levels of prioritization and follow through
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented under minimal supervision
• Proven analytical capability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Scope Data:

• Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned categories, supporting customers and sales teams with product information and technical expertise.
• Executes on and helps shape All Battery product strategy through line reviews and collaboration with suppliers on new product technologies.
• Work through product development process with both domestic and overseas suppliers to meet the needs of All Battery customers.

Work Environment:

• Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
• Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Some travel may be needed.
