Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a All Battery Product Manager to lead product strategy and lifecycle for All Battery categories. You will collaborate with suppliers, QA, procurement, and marketing to develop new products that meet market needs and environmental/legal requirements.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, technical expertise, and effective communication. Expect coordination with multiple stakeholders, travel as needed, and adherence to ISO 13485 QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of product management experience.
• Effective communicator (oral and written).
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong problem solver with the ability to think outside the box.
• Able to work independently with proper levels of prioritization and follow through.
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented under minimal supervision.
• Proven analytical capability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute product line strategy to support category vision.
• Lead product development with suppliers, QA, purchasing, and category managers.
• Provide technical expertise to the business.
• Respond to sales/store questions with complete, timely information.
• Coordinate with quality to approve/disqualify products and reduce supply risk.
• Own line review process to manage product life cycles.
• Ensure environmental, legal, and certification requirements are met.
• Support ESG initiatives as assigned.
• Input expertise into RFQ and award recommendations.
• Maintain SAP data, specsheets, and product portal with accurate information.
• Update new product PCN information.
• Assist All Battery Marketing with product catalogs.
• Engage suppliers to learn about updates and new tech.
• Conform to ISO 13485 QMS.
• Meet with suppliers with procurement as needed.

Purpose of Job:

The All Battery Product Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned All Battery product categories. They will take the lead in product strategy execution, provide technical support, and work with suppliers to develop new products to meet market needs.

Job Components:

• Executeproduct line strategy to support the vision and strategy of the overall All Battery product category

• Execute product development steps with suppliers, quality,purchasing,and category managerto meet the needs of new product projects

• Support the business with technicalexpertise

• Answer research requests (sales and store questions) in a complete andtimelymanner

• Coordinate with quality toapproveand disqualifyproducts from multiple sources to helpeliminatesupply risksandmaintainquality

• Own the line review process to manageproduct life cycles and support category strategy

• Ensure product meets all applicable environmentalandlegalrequirements and thatrequired product certifications are obtained

• Support and implement Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) initiatives, as assigned

• SupportAll Battery RFQ with productexpertiseinputandawardrecommendations

• Ensureproductcross references,SAPproduct data,product specsheetsand product portal aremaintainedwithaccurateinformation

• Ensure accuracy of product information entered on new product PCN

• Supports All Battey Marketing in the development of product catalogs

• Utilize supplier relationships to understandproduct updates andnew technologies

• Ensure products meet the requirements of our ISO 13485 Quality Management System (QMS)

• Meet with suppliers in coordination with procurement as needed

Scope Data:

• Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned categories, supporting customers and sales teams with product information and technical expertise.

• Executes on and helps shape All Battery product strategy through line reviews and collaboration with suppliers on new product technologies.

• Work through product development process with both domestic and overseas suppliers to meet the needs of All Battery customers.

Work Environment:

• Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

• Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Some travel may be needed.
