ALL 4 ONE in Springfield, Vermont is hiring Afterschool Program Staff (Pre-K AM/PM) to support a before/after-school and summer program. You will supervise children (Pre-K–6) and lead activities while guiding Aides and Volunteers in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Be eighteen years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and after one program year required to have.
• CPR-First Aid certification is required or within 3 months to complete

Responsibilities

• Perform routine functions to support daily operations including daily attendance and instructional support.
• Supervise Afterschool Aides/Volunteers in the classroom.
• Provide safe, caring, engaged environment and stay in close proximity to students.
• Assist on field trips and be able to walk daily 2 miles during program hours.

Job Summary:

The Afterschool Program Staff (Teacher Assistant) Pre-K works in a before/afterschool/summer child care program. The Afterschool Program Staff (Teacher Assistant) Pre-K will be responsible in supervision and instruction of children (Pre-K -grade 6) in various recreational activities. The Afterschool Program Staff (Teacher Assistant) Pre-K will also be responsible for supervising any Afterschool Aides and Volunteers that are working or volunteering in their classroom.

Essential Functions:

• Perform routine functions to support daily operations including, daily attendance, instructional support, copying of materials for clubs or groups, greeting families and children daily, engaging in daily activities and supporting student needs
• Supervise Afterschool Aides/Volunteers in the classroom
• Provide safe, caring, engaged environment and be able to remain in close proximity to students at all times.
• Provide daily assistance on various field trips; walking or bus. MUST be able to walk daily 2 miles during program hours
• Follow local policy and procedures in the area of educational requirements and building level operations
• Participate in required in-service training programs and complete professional pre hours for DCC and STARS regulations
• Foster healthy relationships among children
• Provide positive role modeling experiences
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information, providing information to parent, teachers, and other on a "need to know" basis only.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Be eighteen years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and after one program year required to have:

For School Age: Program Staff

• Vermont Afterschool Foundations Certificate OR
• Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate OR
• Vermont On the Job Training Certificate OR
• Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential OR
• Vermont Program Director Credential OR
• Vermont Teacher License OR
• BA/BS or Associates degree

For Pre-K Teacher Assistant (Program Staff)

At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate) and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or

At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education; or

At least successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals' course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate; or

At least successful completion of a three (3) college credit course for school age care and education

For All Pre-K – School Age Staff

CPR-First Aid Certified or have 3 months to complete

9 hr VT orientation or have 1 month to complete

Mandated Reporting Training or have 1 month to complete

Enthusiasm, responsibility and willingness to learn
