A leading company in the semiconductor industry is seeking an Algorithms and Physical Modeling Principal Engineer to drive technology activities related to algorithms using machine learning and physical modeling methods. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for defect inspection and metrology, requiring a strong background in image processing and a Master's or PhD in a technical field.
The Algorithms and Physical Modeling Principal Engineer is responsible for driving technology activities related to algorithms utilizing machine learning, stochastic, and physical modeling methods for electrical and physical defect inspection and metrology with e-beam systems. This position requires close collaboration with HW & SW engineering teams as well as application teams.
Master's or PhD in Information Technology, Software, Physics, Mathematics, or any technical field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including IC manufacturing, semiconductor process technology, inspection, or metrology, or equivalent experience. Candidates should be fast learners, highly motivated, capable of working independently, and thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

The current base annual salary range for this role is $186,750 - $311,250. Pay scales depend on role, level, location, and market data, with individual pay determined through interviews and assessments of skills, education, experience, and other factors.
