Job summary

PowerSchool is seeking a part-time Algebra I tutor to support middle and high school students in Virginia Beach. Tutors provide small group and individual instruction, assess progress, and document student work according to school guidelines.

The ideal candidate has strong mathematics knowledge through high school level and prior teaching or tutoring experience, with the ability to formulate individualized remediation plans and monitor student progress through regular reviews.

Qualifications

Job description

Tutors will provide small group and individual instruction to middle and/or high school students through the level of Algebra I. Individualized plans to remediate students in mathematics through modeling, demonstrating, explaining, reviewing and assessing student work will be formulated by tutors. Accurate records of student progress will be maintained by tutors. Tutors must have a firm understanding of mathematics content through the high school level. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching or tutoring experience.

Certified (holds valid teaching license): $32.08 per hour

Non-Certified: $25.98 per hour
