You will test systems, troubleshoot faults, deliver strong customer service, and uphold safety and quality standards while working with hand tools and meters; a valid driver's license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of fire alarm experience and low voltage experience.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to work 80% of time in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire alarm system per local building and fire code.
• Read, understand, and follow blueprints.
• Conduct a proper test and inspection.
• Troubleshoot and service a fire alarm system.
• Communicate expectations with customers.
• Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
• Demonstrates systems and explains the causes and consequences of false alarms.
• Cleans up debris from the alarm service work area.
• Provides excellent customer service that aligns with the company's mission statement.

Role Overview

The Alarm Technician provides alarm system installation which requires low voltage wiring, performing testing and troubleshooting on the systems, and compliance with local codes.

Status

Full-Time, Non-exempt

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and wire alarm system per local building and fire code
• Read, understand, and follow blueprints
• Conduct a proper test and inspection
• Troubleshoot and service a fire alarm system
• Communicate expectations with customers

Education and Experience
