Blue Origin is seeking an Atomic Layer Deposition Engineer to operate ALD reactors, characterize films, and optimize processes for thin-film layers used in advanced solar devices. You will perform routine operation, data analysis, and participate in DOE campaigns to improve film quality and reproducibility.

The role emphasizes hands-on reactor work, meticulous data logging, and coordination with internal teams to deliver reliable deposition performance in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating ALD or CVD reactors.
Detail-oriented with strong data recording habits.
Ability to work safely with chemical precursors and PPE usage.
Experience with thin-film characterization techniques.

Responsibilities

Operate ALD reactors to deposit metal oxide and barrier films per recipes and DOE plans.
Characterize ALD films using ellipsometry, profilometry, and optical spectroscopy.
Prepare samples for advanced characterization (XPS, TEM) and coordinate with external labs as needed.
