Kings View is seeking a Registered SUD Counselor in Tulare, CA to provide individual and group counseling within MAT programs. You will manage a caseload, conduct assessments, develop and update treatment plans, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes adherence to Title 9/22, HIPAA, and confidentiality, with strong documentation, timely progress notes, and a commitment to recovery-focused services in a clinical setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current SUD counselor registration in good standing with a California DHCS-recognized certifying organization.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license, as required by the job description.
• At least 2,080 hours of related experience, or an associate degree / 60 college semester units emphasizing behavioral or social sciences.
• Knowledge of MAT, methadone/buprenorphine treatment, counseling methods, treatment planning, and SUD program operations.

• Participate in supervision, team meetings, required training, and professional development; follow safety and crisis response protocols.

Salary Range: $22.52–$23.89 per hour

Position Overview:

The Registered Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor provides individual and group counseling, recovery support, and case management to clients enrolled in methadone maintenance and other medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs. Working under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, this position manages an assigned caseload, conducts assessments, develops and updates treatment plans, monitors progress, and collaborates with the treatment team to support recovery.

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to complete required continuing education/training and maintain registration.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license, as required by the job description.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2,080 hours of related experience, or an associate degree / 60 college semester units emphasizing behavioral or social sciences.
• Knowledge of MAT, methadone/buprenorphine treatment, counseling methods, treatment planning, and SUD program operations.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams, documentation systems, and client-centered recovery services.
