Job Description

The Security Worker Lead is responsible for maintaining the security of people and/or property in the assigned area(s). Responsibilities include assisting clients, customers, and visitors, enforcing site regulations, reporting safety hazards, and assisting with traffic control. The Security Worker Lead may oversee or delegate responsibilities within the security team. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Patrol buildings and surrounding property
2. Schedule and assign daily work to team members
3. Coordinate completion of security tasks
4. Ensure safety and security of property and staff
5. Monitor and control access at entrances
6. Verify identification before unlocking buildings/doors
7. Respond to emergency situations
8. Maintain confidentiality of security information
9. Protect company assets
10. Patrol assigned areas, checking for hazards or suspicious activity
11. Report hazards or suspicious circumstances to management
12. Check and secure doors and windows, log any issues
13. Assist persons needing directions or information
14. Escort individuals or property as needed
15. Respond to alarms and dispatched calls, taking appropriate action
16. Determine when reports are necessary and prepare them
17. Assist law enforcement at public events
18. Assist with traffic control

Qualifications

• At least one year of law enforcement experience
• Previous security officer experience
• Leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
• Ability to assess and handle situations

• Proper licensing as per regulations

• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, and climb stairs
