ALCOHOL AND DRUG ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR *REPOST*

Position Overview

This position aims to educate individuals about addiction, explore substance-free lifestyles, and provide guidance for recovery. Services are provided to both adults and adolescents. The role is designated as emergency essential.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for Certified Associate Counselors-Alcohol and Drug.
  • Experience: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with screenings and assessments for ASAM placement.
  • Experience in group and individual counseling.
  • Experience in preparing records and progress summaries.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must be certified by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug.
  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in Maryland if duties involve vehicle operation.
Additional Requirements

Employees are subject to substance abuse testing as per Maryland regulations.
