Job Title: Alastin Account Manager

Location: Maryland (covers entire state, preferably Annapolis or Columbia MD based)

Following our recent acquisition by Galderma, the world’s largest independent dermatology company, Alastin has continued its rapid growth operating as an independent business unit of Galderma.

Job Description:

The Account Manager will maintain and develop business in the direct sale of medical skin care products to physicians and skin care professionals. Alastin promotes a consultative, education-based sales approach. Account Managers are a resource to their accounts, offer education and provide business building consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Promote and sell products to current and potential customers within a defined geography.
  2. Initiate specific course of action to increase sales and market share.
  3. Develop effective direct selling techniques and market strategies to expand product demand.
  4. Coordinate physician training programs and practice in-services and events.
  5. Provide technical product and procedure expertise to customers.
  6. Build strong professional relationships, establish credibility and rapport with customers.
  7. Implement and execute key marketing strategies.
  8. Establish and maintain excellent communications and working relationships with co-workers and assigned physicians and healthcare providers.
  9. Actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, conference calls and other business-related activities.
  10. Demonstrate honesty and integrity while modeling behaviors consistent with company standards and policies.
  11. Other related duties as required.
  12. Establish effective territory routing plan based on area/territory priorities and T&E budget.
  13. Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent education and directly related experience required.
  2. 3 or more years Aesthetic sales experience with pre-existing relationships within assigned territory.
  3. Effective goal setting, planning and communication, relationship-building, and strong problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and get others to buy in to specific goals and strategies in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  5. Self-reliant with the ability to make solid business decisions.
  6. Proficient in Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Frequently moves materials weighing up to 50 lbs for account and event needs.
  2. The person in this position needs to occasionally stoop, bend, and kneel.
  3. Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time.
