Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Temporary Apprentice Operator to join the Alaska North Slope fields. The program is three phases, starting as Phase 1 with 6 months of introductory training and potential progression to phases 2 and 3 based on performance and business needs.

Candidates will engage in safety programs, learn operations, and support field teams while progressing toward becoming a fully capable Operator.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Process Technology completed within the past three years, or currently enrolled and expected to complete this year.
• Basic/Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Practice emergency preparedness and recognize abnormal conditions; report incidents.
• Participate in peer-to-peer and PREP conversations; attend toolbox and safety meetings.
• Assist Operators with rounds, readings, surveillance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Witness and participate in control of work and energy isolation processes.
• Transmit information clearly and concisely; complete Apprentice Operator Training and competency requirements.
• Use proper radio etiquette and maintain professional communication; engage for ongoing learning.
• Advance as a Safety Leader and contribute to a culture of safety and teamwork.
