Job summary

Aleut Real Estate (ARE) in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks a Facilities Technician to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of all properties. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work with various management and staff. Two years of experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, with competitive benefits and a non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Respond to repair requests in a timely manner, addressing urgent issues promptly.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, examples: repairing drywall, painting, doors, and other building fixtures.
• Manage minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with renovations and improvements to enhance property aesthetics and functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance of facilities.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with property management to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
