Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an entry-level Millwright for our Pogo operation in Alaska. The role involves maintaining and repairing fixed plant equipment, troubleshooting issues, and supporting safety and efficiency on a rotational camp schedule.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of general mechanical experience, the ability to read technical manuals, and strong communication skills in English. The position offers a stable full-time role, with on-site camp facilities and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years general mechanical experience in maintaining and repairing fixed plant equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.
• Good communication skills and ability to read/write in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fixed plant equipment such as SAG/Ball mills, conveyors, pumps and piping.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report fluid leaks, inspect components and wear.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, modify and repair equipment per supervisor.
• Prepare computer-generated work orders and manage parts from the warehouse.
• Conduct equipment walkarounds and properly dispose of wastes; replace components as needed.
