Holm Electric in Incline Village, NV is seeking a dependable Alarm Technician to install, program, and troubleshoot residential and commercial alarm systems across Incline Village, Truckee, Reno and surrounding areas.

You will read plans, wire low voltage cabling, test systems, and coordinate with project managers while maintaining clean, safe job sites; a driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, servicing, programming, and troubleshooting alarm systems for residential and/or commercial projects.
• Knowledge of intrusion alarm, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, security, and low voltage systems
• Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling
• Ability to read plans, wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and project specifications
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring, devices, panels, programming, connectivity, and system performance
• Strong attention to detail; clean, organized, professional work
• Good communication skills with clients, project managers, team members, and other trades
• A valid driver’s license preferred
• A steady work history, pleasant disposition, and high EQ

Responsibilities

• Install and program residential and commercial alarm systems
• Install fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, access control, security, and low voltage systems
• Pull, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling
• Install control panels, keypads, cameras, access points, security devices, equipment racks, and related components
• Troubleshoot system issues related to wiring, terminations, hardware, connectivity, programming, and system performance
• Test and commission completed systems to verify proper operation and quality
• Support inspections, system walkthroughs, and client handoffs
• Maintain accurate service notes, job records, as-builts, and documentation
• Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs to supervisors or project leads
• Maintain clean, safe, organized, and professional job sites
• Work closely with project managers, designers, electricians, other technicians, and trades to complete projects safely, accurately, and efficiently

You Have

Alarm, Security & Low Voltage Experience

Job Location and Hybrid Status

• In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)

Your Contribution to Holm Electric

• Install and program residential and commercial alarm systems
• Install fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, access control, security, and related low voltage systems
