Job summary

Geil Enterprises, Inc. in California is hiring an alarm technician to install and program control panels for burglar, fire, camera, and access control systems.

You will test, inspect, and repair systems, install wiring per plans, review installation manuals, document work, and train customers. On-call rotation may be required.

Requires a valid California driver’s license and at least two years’ experience; ACE and Fire Life Safety certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of alarm system function and design.
• Experience with basic network design and IP communications.
• Ability to use hand and power tools for installations.
• Proven customer service experience as an alarm technician.

Responsibilities

• Install and program control panels and equipment for burglar, fire, camera and access control systems.
• Test, inspect, and repair burglar, fire, camera and access control systems.
• Utilize plans, manuals and work orders to install/service systems.
• Install wiring to connect system components per safety standards.
• Review plans and orders to plan component locations.
• Inspect and test systems for functionality and safety compliance.
• Submit documentation and reports per company standards.
• Show customers how to use systems and address questions.
• Be on-call for after-hours and weekend emergencies; rotation ~ monthly.
