Job summary

Brinks Home is seeking a determined Alarm Service Technician to install, service, and inspect low-voltage security equipment at customer sites. You will build and maintain customer relationships while upholding our standards of service, accountability, and integrity.

The role involves traveling to homes, troubleshooting panels from brands like 2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco and others, testing systems, and educating customers on operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates.
• Comfort with climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Able to access crawlspaces, attics and basements.
• Low-voltage license or alarm installation certification.
• NICET I certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and inspect low-voltage electronic security equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and replace system components as needed.
• Drive to customer homes and perform service visits, including occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Educate customers and provide system demonstrations.
• Conduct site evaluations and ensure hardware meets customer needs.
• Test equipment operations and verify signals for service activation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site and ensure customer satisfaction.
