The successful candidate will handle motions, Chapter 13 plan reviews, hearings, and coordination of a high-volume docket while upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing where you practice.
• Minimum 3 years of bankruptcy experience; exposure to chapter 7/11 and plan confirmation.
• Experience in real estate, mortgage and/or commercial litigation preferred.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA; state/federal debt collection and real property law a plus.
• Experience in foreclosure/real estate law a plus; willing to learn if none.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage high-volume statewide bankruptcy matters.
• Expedite the firm’s files and act as liaison between the firm, clients, vendors, courts, and trustees.
• Review and prepare Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim.
• Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and attend court hearings (virtual and in-person).
• Prepare Motions for Relief from Stay, objections to Chapter 13 plans, and related pleadings.
• Manage assigned workload to meet goals and client expectations; handle time-sensitive matters.
