Overview

Established in 2001, Vaquero occupies 525 acres of what was once the Hunt brothers' Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas. Discovery Land Company purchased the Ranch and developed it into an intimate, utterly private Club community.

The secluded property features rolling hills, a newly renovated and expanded 42,000 square-foot Club House, and a newly transformed golf course by Andrew Greene. Vaquero is located 15 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and offers ample shopping and dining in the neighboring towns of Southlake, Trophy Club, and Roanoke.

For members, the Vaquero Clubhouse is a second home. This luxurious yet comfortable setting is where members live, work, and play. A member can work out in the morning, play golf, and enjoy lunch or dinner with family and friends. Vaquero offers members the ultimate lifestyle. Once a member enters the gates, the staff is present for everything a member or guest may need. The team is dedicated to helping members enjoy the things that truly matter, friends and family. The Vaquero Club offers a limited number of private Equity Golf and Social Memberships.

The position will contribute to the success of daily golf operations including participation in the execution of the Vaquero Member Experience. The position will assume responsibility in working side by side with the outside service team by taking pride in executing day to day tasks and responsibilities, being helpful, closely working with outside service and the assistant golf professional team on delivering our Member experience, participating in team building exercises, dedication to improving skills and involvement in education opportunities, support with all golf events and activities, relationship building with Members, and following the service standard set forth by Vaquero management.

Experience Required

• 1-2 years preferred service at a golf facility or hotel/resort
• Strong communication and correspondence skills with the ability to maintain sound working relationships and communications with Members, Club Management, fellow workers, and vendors
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work closely with and motivate a team. Attention to quality and detail
• Professional appearance and presentation

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.

• Greets all members and guests by name
• Determines the needs of members and guests through open ended questions
• Works closely with fellow employees in delivering exceptional service in accordance with our written "Practices" for all service experiences.
• Pays attention to presentation and cleanliness in all service areas
• Participates in all golf functions in a professional and efficient manner
• Provides excellent customer service and assists all Members and their guests
• Communicates with other departments
• Conducts oneself in a professional manner and always maintains a professional image
• Promotes club activities, events, and services
• Assists in the execution of tournaments and events
• Assists in the cart fleet maintenance program
• Assists in providing service to Members and Guests
• Assists in the daily setup and over-all experience at the driving range
• Other duties as assigned by the 1st Assistant Golf Professional, Head Golf Professional and/or Director of Golf

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing.
  • Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

  • This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the shift.
  • This position requires office and computer time, and thus, there can be long periods at a desk.
