Job Title: Aisles Online Shopper

Department: Aisles Online

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Responsible for selecting the best products for our online shoppers and accurately selecting groceries ordered online by customers.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Online Shopping Department Manager

Positions reporting to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and passing along suggestions or requests.
• Answer calls and emails promptly, providing helpful service.
• Accurately select and bag groceries, ensuring high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Adhere to company policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work on time as scheduled.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders through POS, charge credit cards, and ensure proper storage and retrieval of products.
• Maintain proper temperature of products during handling.
• Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles and monitor online order fulfillment.
• Perform other related duties and projects as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Perform activities like stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling.

Working Conditions

Mostly in a retail store setting, possibly exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, and hazards from equipment. Fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Equipment Used

Pallet jack, box cutter, cash register, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, copier, fax, etc.

Contacts

Daily contact with store personnel, customers, and the public.

The starting hourly wage is $16.50 to $20.60 depending on experience.
