Job Title: Aisles Online Shopper

Department: Aisles Online

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Responsible for selecting the best products for our online shoppers and accurately selecting groceries ordered online by our customers.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Online Shopping Department Manager

Positions reporting to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions.
• Greet customers warmly and learn their names when possible.
• Assist customers with locating products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along suggestions or requests.
• Answer calls and emails promptly and courteously.
• Accurately select groceries, including high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones, adhering to company policies.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders through POS and charge credit cards.
• Store and retrieve orders properly to maintain temperature control.
• Assist with loading groceries into customer vehicles.
• Monitor incoming online orders for timely fulfillment.
• Perform other duties and projects as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see detail at near range.
• Physical ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform activities like stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, and grasping.

Working Conditions

Primarily in a retail store environment, possibly exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, and hazards from equipment. Fast-paced with deadline pressures.

Equipment Used

Pallet jack, box cutter, cash register, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, copier, fax.

Daily contact with store personnel, customers, and the public.
