Integrated Sol for Sys Inc is seeking an experienced Airworthiness Manager to lead certification activities for avionics and aerospace systems in Dayton, OH. The role requires deep MIL-HDBK-516C knowledge and collaboration across engineering, program management, and regulatory teams.

The ideal candidate will have 15–20 years in airworthiness or safety engineering for defense programs, and hands-on experience with MIL-HDBK-516C, DO-178c, and DO-254.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 15–20 years in airworthiness, certification or safety engineering for defense programs.
• Hands-on with MIL-HDBK-516C and derivative criteria.
• Experience with DoD acquisition programs or military offices.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the program’s primary airworthiness authority and SME.
• Apply MIL-HDBK-516C requirements across design, test, and sustainment.
• Develop airworthiness plans, matrices, and certification strategies.
• Coordinate with military authorities for approvals and flight releases.
• Lead airworthiness risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Support system safety analyses, hazard assessments, and configuration control.
• Prepare technical documentation, briefings, and compliance evidence.
• Ensure alignment between design decisions and airworthiness criteria.
• Mentor engineers on certification processes and docs.
