Job summary

Embraer is seeking an experienced aircraft inspector to verify airworthiness, inspect aircraft systems, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations. The role involves preflight/postflight checks, accurate documentation, and close collaboration with the Chief Inspector in QA improvements.

Required five years as an A&P mechanic and a valid A&P license, with experience interpreting FAA work packages and performing inspections on complex aircraft components.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as an aircraft A&P mechanic.
• Experience with aerospace quality systems meeting FAA requirements.
• Ability to interpret FAA/work package instructions and inspect/install parts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft and verify documentation per inspection process.
• Prepare reports on maintenance services and supplier performance.
• Perform stock re-inspections and shipping inspections.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with control processes.
• File work orders and inspection forms for quick retrieval by the Chief Inspector.
• Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, and final inspections on repaired items.
• Review inspections to ensure standards and equipment adequacy.
• Conduct self-audits of internal quality systems upon request.
• Assist Chief Inspector in improving QA methods and procedures.
• Perform special assignments as directed by the Chief Inspector.
