Now Hiring Seasonal Airside Experience Specialists!

$500 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE NEW HIRES

The Airside Experience Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties that contribute to safely providing requested services for general aviation aircraft, crew, and other guests. This role involves operating ground service equipment and applying knowledge of company policies and procedures to deliver efficient and exceptional service at the private aviation terminal (PAT). Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends is required. Tasks may be performed in various weather conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, fumes, dust, and noise, both indoors and outdoors near stationary and moving aircraft (including spinning propellers and engines).

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and airport security requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the employment jurisdiction
  • Excellent vision and coordination; ability to pass a color vision test
  • Valid state driver’s license; in some locations, a CDL may be required
  • Good judgment and ability to follow instructions

Preferred: 3-6 months experience in aviation, customer service, or related fields, or equivalent education and training. Additional skills include:

  • Hospitality Skills: Outgoing, guest-focused, able to multitask, maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Math Skills: Basic arithmetic, percentages, fractions, etc.
  • Physical Ability: Operate vehicles and ground equipment, perform fueling and de-icing functions
  • Critical Thinking: Follow multi-step instructions, handle standardized situations
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborate effectively with team and guests
  • Multitasking and Computer Skills: Manage multiple tasks, use computers and email
  • Task Management: Complete training programs timely

Pay ranges from $24.00 to $26.00/hour, based on multiple factors including skills, experience, responsibilities, and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct airside operations safely and efficiently, adhering to policies and SOPs, and communicating effectively
  • Work closely with team members, guests, vendors, and aircraft crew to meet service needs, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory services, ground power, water, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering, and towing
  • Prepare for aircraft arrivals/departures, identify open tasks, and report safety concerns
  • Operate ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo
  • Provide friendly guest service and safe transportation via shuttle vehicles
  • Maintain clean and secure ramps and operations
  • Handle fuel, including quality control, receipt, inventory, and documentation
  • Comply with operational, safety, and security protocols
  • Report unsafe conditions and follow emergency procedures
  • Create accurate records of work activities and services
