Job summary

Unifi Aviation LLC is hiring for an airport wheelchair assistance role in Honolulu. You will help passengers with wheelchair services during arrival and check-in, guiding them through the airport and assisting with special needs.

The role requires lifting capabilities, shift flexibility, and a basic command of computer systems. Training in ramp procedures and SIDA will be provided to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull items of 70 pounds and regularly lift 40–50 pounds on raised surfaces.
• Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security access.
• Must have a smartphone and basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with a smile and friendly face through arrival and check-in, including support for passengers with special needs such as wheelchair assistance.
• Handle all aspects of wheelchair support by operating a computerized system, boarding, baggage service, reservations and resolving related complaints and problems.
• Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine.
• Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival.
• Operate equipment to include the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ticketing software.
• Oversee all customer service issues related to wheelchair-bound customers.
