Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Valet Shift Lead at GSP Airport in Greer, SC. You will oversee valet operations, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and support location management. This is a full-time role with a Tue-Thu 2pm-12am schedule, base pay $16/hr plus tips, with potential $20+/hr including tips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong customer service experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train valet staff on day-to-day activities.
• Ensure adherence to location policies and procedures.
• Assist in establishing performance standards and implement changes as needed.
• Serve as liaison between client, management and staff.
• Provide first-class customer service and greet customers by name when possible.
• Process daily reports related to revenue and garage data; resolve issues as needed.

The Spirit Of The Position

The Valet Shift Lead oversees the Valet operation, under the direction of the location Manager to ensure the staff create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. Valet Lead will support the operation policies and procedures.

Principal Job Duties

• Ensures staff adheres to rules of conduct, policies and procedures.
• Supervises, mentors, and trains staff on day-to-day activities.
• Assists in establishing performance standards, recommending, and implementing changes to procedures when necessary.
• Serves as a liaison and primary point of contact for client, operation management and staff.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing First Class Customer Service with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
• Greets and Assist customers in a friendly manner (e.g., ideally by name) in a timely and professional manner
• Resolve customer service issues or questions as needed; processes and report any customer issues in the event of accidents or incidents on a shift.
• Responsible for running any reports related to daily revenue, credit cards, garage data or other reports requested by management.
• Provides operational technical training as needed.
• Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Accept monthly and debit payments and process credit cards.
• Basic computer skills in the parking revenue control system (add/delete accounts, key in required information from monthly applications).
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Other related duties that may be assigned by management from time-to-time.
• The Valet Lead will be expected to work varying hours including weekends, evenings, nights, Holidays and special events, etc. as needed.

Experience/Requirements

• Valid Driver's License required
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Valet experience preferred.
• Parking and/or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to drive a standard transmission, as well as general knowledge of how to operate various types of motor vehicles.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
