Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Midway Airport Redevelopment Program in Chicago, onsite with the program management team.

You will lead utility planning, coordination, and design activities across a multi-disciplinary team while coordinating with FAA and utility providers. The role requires 8+ years in large infrastructure utility projects, a relevant bachelor's degree, and the ability to work onsite full-time at Midway.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years in utility planning, design, coordination, or construction management on large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience leading teams of engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
  • Effective communication with airport personnel and stakeholders on utilities.
  • Strong background coordinating with public/private utility providers and regulators.
  • Onsite full-time work at Midway International Airport.
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM/ACC or similar utility design software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and utility activities with a team of utility PMs, engineers, and CAD technicians.
  • Coordinate with FAA, ComEd, Peoples Gas, Telecom and other utilities on scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Maintain a utility tracker documenting meetings, invoices, exhibits, and utility records.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on utility policy decisions.
