Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for an Airport Terminal Patrol in New York. The role involves patrolling terminal areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering exceptional customer service to passengers and staff.

You will enforce site policies, respond to incidents calmly, verify credentials, and assist with traffic flow while upholding a professional presence. A valid NYS security license and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, access points, public spaces, loading zones, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Assist with traffic flow, visitor directions, and other security-related support activities while maintaining a professional presence.
