Job summary

Unifi is seeking motivated individuals to join our aviation services team in baggage handling. No experience required; paid training is provided.

The role involves assisting passengers, loading and unloading bags, and ensuring correct tagging and loading while following safety procedures. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain airport credentials.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs+ and work in varied shifts and weather.
• No prior experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with baggage pick-up, loading and unloading.
• Sort, tag, and load bags correctly using conveyances.
• Coordinate with TSA and use safety equipment according to policy.
• Report safety incidents and hazards promptly.
• Work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Meet safety and operational standards in all tasks.

Job Summary:

Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing passengers’ baggage and promptly addressing any related concerns.

Job Duties:

• Assist passengers with baggage pick-up, loading, unloading, and resolve issues with their delayed, lost, or damaged items.
• Set up conveyances to sort and distribute incoming bags.
• Scan and ensure, correct tagging and loading of each bag.
• Forward and receive bags to and from TSA.
• Take care of the safety scanner and other equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards
• Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.

• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• Physical requirements:
• Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to and more than 70 lbs, push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend. Should be able to climb or crawl frequently.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
