Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC in Boston is hiring for a baggage handler role. No experience required; paid training provided. You will assist passengers with baggage, manage loading/unloading, tagging, and coordinate with TSA as needed.

The position offers 30 hours per week to start full-time status, weekly pay for hourly staff, PTO, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k), and employee discounts. Candidates must meet safety credentials and lifting requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs or more.
• Must be able to pass credentialing requirements as per airport/state rules.
• Candidate should be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with baggage pickup, loading and unloading.
• Sort, tag, and load bags to ensure correct handling.
• Coordinate bag movement with security and TSA as required.
• Operate safety equipment and follow company safety procedures.
• Report hazards and incidents per Unifi policy.
• Perform duties safely and with attention to operational standards.

Job Summary:

Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing passengers’ baggage and promptly addressing any related concerns.

Job Duties:

• Assist passengers with baggage pick-up, loading, unloading, and resolve issues with their delayed, lost, or damaged items.
• Set up conveyances to sort and distribute incoming bags.
• Scan and ensure, correct tagging and loading of each bag.
• Forward and receive bags to and from TSA.
• Take care of the safety scanner and other equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards
• Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• Physical requirements:
• Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to and more than 70 lbs, push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend. Should be able to climb or crawl frequently.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
