Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking Supervisory Transportation Security Officer opportunities in Heafford Junction, Wisconsin. The role involves supervising officers, overseeing screening operations, and coordinating staffing to ensure secure and efficient airport operations.

Responsibilities include directing teams, making security decisions, conducting performance reviews, and communicating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
At least 6 months of experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor.
Must meet all citizenship/background requirements as specified for TSA roles.

Responsibilities

Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations.
Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures, information, and judgment.
Review employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Approve leave and address routine concerns.
Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies.
Prepare operational briefings, logs, incident reports, and management communications.
Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership as required.
Recommend improvements to screening procedures and staffing plans.
