Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Airport Security Officer in Honolulu, HI for Thursday/Friday afternoons as a part-time role. You will provide customer service to travelers, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents using site procedures.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, 18+ years of age, ability to pass background and drug screens, and a high school diploma. This position offers flexible shifts with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when assigned, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
