Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Airport Security Officer (Part Time) in Kahului, HI. You will provide security and customer service for travelers, visitors, and government personnel while following site-specific procedures and emergency protocols.

The role involves regular armed patrols of terminals and surrounding areas, monitoring access points, and coordinating with airport operations and law enforcement as needed. Requires appropriate licenses and a background check.

Qualifications

• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a Peace Officer Certificate.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of airport terminals, roadways, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and Allied Universal policies.

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
